Manager of Financial Reporting

Position: Telesat Manager of Financial Reporting
Join Telesat as the Manager of Financial Reporting to enhance corporate accounting and compliance. This managerial position focuses on refining reporting mechanisms for global subsidiaries.

As part of Telesat's finance team, you will be responsible for corporate accounting practices and reporting across international entities. This includes ensuring compliance with statutory filings and managing complex cost accounting processes. Your leadership will also drive the implementation of Workiva for greater reporting efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute quarterly equity pick-up for all subsidiaries

• Direct intercompany journal transactions and pricing compliance

• Oversee and account for capitalized engineering costs

• Prepare complete financial statements for subsidiaries

• Collaborate with external auditors on subsidiary audits

Requirements:

• Holds a Professional Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, or CMA)

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent

• 8+ years in corporate accounting, specializing in consolidations

• Minimum 5 years of team management experience

• Familiarity with ERP and reporting automation tools
