This senior leadership role focuses on planning and implementing initiatives under the Environment, Water, and Justice Branch. You will collaborate with First Nations leaders and external partners while ensuring alignment with AFN’s political mandates. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development and implementation of branch initiatives
• Execute strategies to enhance national advocacy efforts
• Build relationships with First Nations leaders and government officials
• Provide strategic policy recommendations to AFN management
• Oversee policy report development for stakeholders
Requirements:
• University degree in relevant field, postgraduate preferred
• Minimum five years of senior management experience
• In-depth knowledge of First Nations issues
• Proven experience with advocacy groups
• Strong understanding of political and legal frameworks
Utilize leadership skills to navigate complex environments and advance policies benefiting First Nations communities.
