The BMDA’s mandate centres on elevating the streetscape and public realm beyond standard municipal service levels, enriching the resident and visitor experience, and fostering cultural, economic and social vitality across these iconic public market spaces.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer is the senior official of the ByWard Market District Authority, responsible for overseeing the administration, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations of the organization.
