Tumbler Gymnastics Centre is seeking a dynamic and experienced Executive Director to provide leadership and strategic direction for our organization.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall success, sustainability, and growth of the Centre. Working closely with the Board of Directors, management team, coaches, and staff, the Executive Director will oversee the delivery of high-quality programs, guide business development, pursue funding and fundraising opportunities, and ensure the organization operates in a safe, effective, and financially responsible manner.

We are looking for a strong leader who can see the big picture while also ensuring that the organization delivers on its goals.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Centre’s strategic plan, vision, and organizational priorities .
  • Identify opportunities for growth, new programs, partnerships, and revenue generation.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen the Centre’s long-term financial and operational sustainability.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to enhance the Centre’s competitive position.
  • Work collaboratively with the Board of Directors to establish organizational goals and report on progress.
Program & Operational Oversight
  • Oversee the successful delivery of the Centre’s recreational, competitive, educational, and/or community programming.
  • Ensure programs meet established standards for quality, safety, participant experience, and organizational objectives.
  • Support managers and program leaders in developing and improving programs.
  • Establish systems, policies, and procedures that promote effective and efficient operations.
  • Monitor organizational performance and ensure goals and expectations are being met.
Business Development & Financial Management
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the organization and diversify revenue.
  • Oversee organizational budgets, financial planning, and financial performance.
  • Identify opportunities to increase registrations, programming, partnerships, rentals, events, and other revenue-generating activities.
  • Ensure resources are allocated responsibly and in accordance with organizational priorities.
  • Work with the Board and financial professionals to maintain strong financial controls and long-term financial sustainability.
  • Develop and oversee the Centre’s fundraising and funding strategy.
  • Identify and pursue government grants, community funding, sponsor ships, corporate partnerships, and other funding opportunities .
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, government representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
  • Ensure funding requirements, reporting obligations, and grant commitments are fulfilled.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to management and staff.
  • Build a positive, collaborative, accountable, and high‑performing workplace culture.
  • Establish clear expectations and support managers in achieving organizational objectives.
  • Promote teamwork and effective communication across departments.
  • Support recruitment, professional development, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Lead through challenges and organizational change with professionalism, consistency, and sound judgment.
Health, Safety & Risk Management
  • Ensure the Centre maintains a safe environment for athletes, participants, staff, families, and visitors .
  • Oversee compliance with applicable health and safety legislation, organizational policies, Safe Sport requirements, and relevant sport governing‑body standards.
