What we seek:OCH is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Volunteer Engagement Student, work as part of a team that is responsible for general maintenance and outreach at various volunteer events. Under the guidance of the Manager, Volunteer Engagement, the Maintenance Volunteer Engagement Student will complete minor repairs, and assist with planting, pruning shrubs, and painting tasks as part of the volunteer program.
Maintenance Volunteer Engagement Student with OCH:I mproving the quality of life and the environment for OCH tenants is a main priority at our organization. As the Maintenance Volunteer Engagement Student, you will play a key role in ensuring tenants feel a sense of pride and ownership living in our communities.
As a Maintenance Volunteer Engagement Student, some of the things you will do include:- Complete minor repairs to fences, benches etc., including painting.
- Paint exterior furniture and exterior components.
- Operate mechanical landscape equipment.
- Plant flowers and prune shrubs.
- Interact with various community members and partners during events.
- Assist with event preparation, managing on‑site logistics, event management and clean‑up for events.
- Support the Community and Tenant Support division with community outreach, as needed.
- Other related tasks may be assigned as required.

- Must provide CSA approved work boots.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Must be between 15-30 years of age.
- Satisfactory criminal records check.
- Driver's licence is an asset.
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) on‑site position.
Other details about the role:Hourly rate: $18.66 - $19.83
