Role Summary The Chapter Lead plays a key role in energizing and expanding the local Tech2

Step chapter. You’ll organize networking events, engage community members, and act as an ambassador for Tech2

Step’s mission in Ottawa.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and host monthly or weekly in-person networking events
  • Build strong relationships with members and foster an inclusive, supportive environment
  • Promote events and initiatives on social media platforms
  • Collaborate with other Chapter Leads to share ideas and best practices
  • Report chapter activities, needs, and successes to Tech2

    Step leadership
Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion in tech
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable leading initiatives independently
  • Experience in event planning, community management, or project coordination (preferred)
  • Meaningful leadership experience in a mission-driven organization
  • Expanded professional network in the tech community
  • Direct contribution to a more inclusive tech ecosystem
  • Reference letter and certificate of completion
  • Flexible hours
