ECKAN Family Advocate

Position: ECKAN Family Advocate Role
Become a key player as a Family Advocate at ECKAN, responsible for the recruitment of Head Start children and community engagement. Focus on family support, outreach, and promoting education partnerships.

This position requires collaboration with Health and Disabilities Coordinators and entails providing comprehensive support to families. You will facilitate their participation in local programs while ensuring all communications and records are kept confidential. Your efforts will directly impact family self-sufficiency and educational involvement within the Head Start framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with coordinators to enhance family services

• Conduct outreach to local community groups

• Provide essential crisis support and referrals

• Engage parents in educational governance activities

• Maintain accurate records and confidentiality

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED;
Bachelor’s preferred

• Competent in office software and data entry

• Pass required background and health tests

• Valid driver’s license for transportation

• Ability to perform physical duties as needed
