Location: Carleton Place
Join CNIB Guide Dogs as a Volunteer Coordinator, targeting the recruitment of 600 volunteers and enhancing existing volunteer experiences. This role includes working on campaigns to engage the community effectively.
As a coordinator, you'll work directly with the Specialist, CNIB Guide Dogs, and the National Volunteer Engagement team. You will focus on developing and deploying effective training resources, managing documentation, and strategizing volunteer retention initiatives. You will also implement best practices to ensure safety and engagement within the Guide Dog Program environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and coordinate Volunteer Onboarding and Training resources
• Establish bilingual documentation for Volunteer Engagement
• Provide guidance to staff on volunteer management
• Review strategies for volunteer recruitment and retention
• Organize Volunteer Engagement activities and sessions
Requirements:
• Degree/diploma in communications, marketing, or equivalent
• Experience in client service and teamwork leadership
• Excellent advocacy and communication skills
• Familiarity with dog behavior and compassionate handling
• Flexibility for working varied hours as necessary
