Position Purpose
The incumbent manages the development, implementation and evaluation of fundraising plans to maximize revenue generation from individuals and organizations at the leadership‑ and entry‑level major gift stage ($5,000 to $25,000, including planned giving).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage a portfolio of up to 120 donors and prospects at the leadership and entry‑level major gift stage.
- Meet expected revenue and activity targets annually.
- Initiate and cultivate ongoing relationships with donors and prospects to secure multi‑year pledges and acquire new donors.
- Work closely with the director of stakeholder engagement to identify high‑net‑worth potential donors and transfer them to the appropriate senior development staff.
- Analyze data and metrics to prioritize high‑ROI activities and prospects.
- Prepare and submit regular status reports and recommendations to optimize operations and maximize revenues.
- Help develop fundraising proposals, concept notes, pitch decks and gift agreements aligned with the University’s vision and priorities.
- Maintain an active stewardship program and respond to donor inquiries and comments.
- Represent the University professionally at internal and external events to attract new philanthropic opportunities.
- A university degree.
- Three years’ professional fundraising or related experience, preferably in an educational, non‑profit or sales environment.
- French and English bilingualism (spoken and written).
- Knowledge of fundraising processes, best practices and current industry trends.
- Outstanding oral and written communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solicit support through personal visits and various communication types.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft 365 and experience with Raiser's Edge or other fundraising databases.
- Availability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends and travel frequently; valid driver’s licence and passport.
Position type:
Employee (average 35 hours per week). Salary Grade 10: $80,942.00 – $ (SSUO Grade 10). Anticipated duration: 24 months.
