SASCO is looking for dedicated individuals to join the Board of Directors, supporting its mission to provide peer support for survivors of gender-based violence. As a board member, you will actively participate in decision-making and policy development, ensuring a survivor-led approach. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds, particularly those with skills in human resources and finance or prior engagement with SASCO.
Key Responsibilities:
• Attend at least six board meetings each year
• Support decision-making and board governance processes
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate board values
• Collaborate efficiently with committee initiatives
• Contribute to governance in fields like finance or policy
Requirements:
• Commitment to survivor-centered support services
• Willingness to partake in governance training
• Strong accountability to SASC membership
• Openness to diverse perspectives and collaboration
• Renewals available for a total of nine years
