Coordinator, Refugee Ministry at CCCB

Become the Coordinator for the Migrant and Refugee Ministry at CCCB, leading efforts in Ottawa to support vulnerable populations. Empower dioceses to respond effectively to the needs of migrants and refugees.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a national service dedicated to the pastoral care of migrants and refugees, working closely with the Episcopal Commission for Justice and Peace. Your focus will be on creating resources, facilitating cooperation among local ministries, and enhancing public awareness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and operate the CCCB Migration and Refugee Service

• Foster partnerships with Catholic organizations and pastoral workers

• Write and disseminate pastoral resources for dioceses

• Support advocacy and public engagement initiatives

• Gather feedback for continuous service improvement

Requirements:

• Relevant university degree or equivalent professional experience

• At least five years in related ministry or advocacy

• Familiarity with Canadian immigration and refugee policies

• Strong written and verbal communication in both official languages

• Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
