Join Volunteer Ottawa as a Youth Program Specialist and empower young Ottawans through innovative programming. Manage and execute the Ottawa Youth Service Year program, enhancing youth experiences in the community.

In this dynamic role, you will lead the day-to-day functions of the Ottawa Youth Service Year, engaging with participants and nonprofit organizations to facilitate meaningful placements. Ideal candidates will possess a strong commitment to youth development and program management in collaborative environments, contributing to positive community impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct recruitment and onboarding of youth participants

• Coordinate with nonprofit organizations for participant placements

• Monitor participant progress with regular check-ins

• Deliver effective training sessions to the youth cohort

• Document program outcomes and prepare reports for stakeholders

Requirements:

• At least 2 years in program coordination or a relevant field

• Experience with youth from underserved communities

• Strong organizational and project management abilities

• Proficient in written and verbal English communication

• Knowledge of the nonprofit sector and community services
