Tree Canada is seeking a Development Coordinator to join our dynamic Corporate Development team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, bilingual professional who is passionate about environmental stewardship and relationship management. The Development Coordinator will play a key role in supporting Tree Canada’s corporate sponsorship efforts, with a particular focus on partners based in Quebec. This individual will manage a growing portfolio of sponsors, facilitate both new inquiries and steward established partners.
Keyresponsibilities
- Manage and steward a portfolio of corporate sponsors, with a focus on Quebec-based partnerships.
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming phone calls and general inquiries related to corporate sponsorship.
- Assist in the preparation of sponsorship materials, reports, and communications.
- Maintain and update sponsor and donor records in Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Communications, Programs, and Research & Engagement to support sponsor engagement and visibility.
- Assist with tracking sponsorship deliverables and timelines to ensure commitments are met.
- Contribute to the identification and development of new funding streams, with a focus on international foundations and global philanthropic networks.
- Support other team initiatives and responsibilities as needed to contribute to the overall success of the department.
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as fundraising, marketing and communications, business development, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is required, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Approachable, with a passion for building strong relationships.
- Adaptable and open to new ideas, with a respectful and inclusive approach to teamwork and collaboration.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Exercises sound judgment in day-to-day responsibilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is an asset.
