As a Community Visitation Assistant, you'll work closely with the Manager of Family Well-Being to support families engaged with Children’s Aid Society. Responsibilities include planning outreach strategies, organizing culturally appropriate activities, and implementing safe spaces for children and their families. Experience in working with Inuit communities is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate effective outreach for families involving CAS
• Plan culturally appropriate access visits for children
• Support community-based programming and events
• Engage with agencies to strengthen family support
• Report and resolve programming issues as needed
Requirements:
• One year of experience in family-oriented roles required
• Post-secondary education in a related field preferred
• Fluency in Inuktitut is an asset
• Valid Driver’s License and police check necessary
• Strong organizational and communication skills needed
Help foster supportive environments for Inuit children and families at Inuuqatigiit Centre.
