Beginning in September 2026, FSO-SFO is seeking an enthusiastic Board member focused on enhancing community welfare. Candidates with expertise in Public Relations, Government Relations, or Fundraising will find this a meaningful opportunity to engage with various stakeholders. The Board drives strategic initiatives, ensuring the organization's vision translates into impactful programs and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee strategic plans and initiatives aligning with FSO-SFO values
• Engage in fundraising and community-building activities
• Attend regular Board meetings and annual events
• Actively participate on the External Relations Committee
• Prepare thoroughly for meetings and discussions
Requirements:
• Experience in External Relations or public engagement
• Strong ethical values and integrity
• Commitment to collaboration and inclusivity
• Community engagement experience in the Ottawa Region
• Non-profit or board governance experience is valuable
