JOB SUMMARYThe Paralympic Foundation of Canada (PFC) is seeking a Coordinator, Donor Experience to join our Foundation team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Donor Experience and working closely with the PFC and Canadian Paralympic Committee (CPC) staff teams, the Coordinator, Donor Experience will play a key role in donor relations by executing individual giving campaigns and stewardship strategies required to obtain and retain donations from generous Canadians.
This role provides administrative and organizational support to implement individual fundraising strategies. It also plays a key role in PFC’s signature fundraising event, Para Tough Cup, by supporting team recruitment, participant fundraising, and donor stewardship. This position also manages the donor database, coordinates fundraising campaigns (direct mail and digital), supports donor communications and events, and oversees project timelines and reporting.
The Coordinator, Donor Experience, develops and maintains professional relationships with donors, sponsors, partners, and volunteers.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and technology skills. Knowledge of donor management products is a definite asset.
Type: Full-time
Salary: $40,000-$45,000 annually plus benefits
Reports: Senior Manager, Donor Experience
Location: Remote within Canada, with travel to CPC head office in Ottawa for occasional in-person meetings.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Work closely with internal stakeholders to help develop and implement innovative and original fundraising initiatives, including:
- Games campaigns (taking place before and during Paralympic Games) o Annual campaigns
- Support key fundraising events such as the Para Tough Cup events, including:
- Team recruitment organization and outreach
- Energize, motivate, and inspire participants to meet and exceed fundraising goals o Pre- and post-event communications o Day-of-event support
- Act as the primary user of the PFC’s donor database, including conducting regular reviews and maintenance, and acting as the internal product expert and educator.
- Support the execution and implementation of partner and stakeholder-led fundraising initiatives
- Support the development of concepts to convert first-time donors into regular and/or monthly donors
- Execute regular donor recognition and stewardship to maximize support
- Engage with Paralympic Foundation of Canada’s unique audience segments to maximize support
- Be the front-line support for all general Paralympic Foundation of Canada telephone and electronic communications
- Work with the Marketing and Communications team to support the implementation of PFC’s social and digital strategy

- An undergraduate degree or diploma in a relevant discipline or a combination of training and related experience.
- Experience in philanthropic communications and creative writing
- Strong working knowledge of modern and progressive fundraising techniques, donation administration, and management
