St. Joe’s Women’s Centre is a day program, located in Ottawa Centre, dedicated to the needs of low income/homeless women, those that identify as women, and their children, in a supportive and safe environment. Social and educational programs are offered to promote empowerment, autonomy, and dignity in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

Are you looking to make a positive impact on your community?
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals who are looking for an opportunity to contribute their knowledge, passion and creativity to join our Steering Committee, through active participation, open communication and inclusiveness.
The Steering Committee is a permanent advisory body that supports and promotes the Centre’s Mission, while being tasked with overseeing the sound financial, programming and services management of St. Joe's Women’s Centre.
- Dedicate approximately 2 hours per month of active participation in Committee activities/meetings and to participate in fundraising/networking initiatives (time and intensity of committee work varies).
- Engage in open communication and inclusiveness within the Committee.
