Board Director – External Relations
Support the mission of Family Servicesà la famille Ottawa as a Board Director, specializing in External Relations. Contribute your unique experience to assist local families.
Beginning in September 2026, FSO‑SFO is seeking an enthusiastic Board member focused on enhancing community welfare. Candidates with expertise in Public Relations, Government Relations, or Fundraising will find this a meaningful chance to engage with various stakeholders. The Board drives strategic initiatives, ensuring the organization’s vision translates into impactful programs and services.
Responsibilities- Oversee strategic plans and initiatives aligning with FSO‑SFO values
- Engage in fundraising and community‑building activities
- Attend regular Board meetings and annual events
- Actively participate on the External Relations Committee
- Prepare thoroughly for meetings and discussions
- Experience in External Relations or public engagement
- Robust ethical values and integrity
- Commitment to collaboration and inclusivity
- Community engagement experience in the Ottawa Region
- Non‑profit or board governance experience is valuable
