ACORN Canada is expanding its community organizing efforts, seeking passionate individuals to connect with residents. As a Community Organizer, you will foster local groups, coordinate campaigns, and lead direct outreach initiatives. This role is pivotal in helping members influence change and develop effective strategies for their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize community outreach and local group meetings
• Develop and execute building and municipal campaigns
• Plan protests, town halls, and strategic actions
• Represent ACORN at community events and external meetings
• Collaborate with the Lead Organizer for skill development
Requirements:
• No prior paid experience needed
• Strong social and interpersonal skills
• Multilingual abilities preferred
• Self-driven with independent and team working skills
• Excellent listening skills to identify community issues
