Community Engagement Coordinator

Drive community initiatives with United Way East Ontario as a Community Engagement Coordinator based in Ottawa. Connect leaders and resources to foster stronger, healthier communities across East Ontario.

This full-time, one-year contract position calls for a dedicated coordinator to support various community-led initiatives.

Your role involves planning and delivering events, meetings, and engagement activities aimed at reducing barriers for youth and families. You will also facilitate relationships that strengthen community resilience and well-being in Prescott-Russell, Ottawa, Lanark, and Renfrew Counties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage events focusing on community needs

• Engage with partners to coordinate collaborative projects

• Utilize tools for tracking project documentation

• Support both virtual and in-person meetings

• Promote solutions in mental health and addiction prevention

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year in community development or event coordination

• Experience managing partnership support effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365 and collaborative platforms

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work in a hybrid format with flexibility
