Become a vital part of Morrison Gardens Community House by supporting the food bank in Ottawa. Help serve clients and manage inventory on Mondays from 1-3 pm.
At Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre, volunteers play an integral role in empowering local families. This position focuses on hands-on assistance at the food bank, from serving clients to ensuring items are organized and clean. By volunteering, you directly support the mission to uplift vulnerable community members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support food bank clients during service hours
• Organize and store inventory efficiently
• Keep the food bank area tidy by sweeping
• Properly dispose of waste materials
Requirements:
• Friendly and people-oriented demeanor
• Dependability in volunteering roles
• Bilingualism in English and French or Arabic preferred
• Willingness to undergo screening and training
