Operations & Service Delivery- Oversee day-to-day branch operations including overall cleanliness and maintenance of the location.
- Coordinate with the Volunteer Coordinator on logistics for incoming food boxes and outgoing delivery routes.
- Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations are met consistently.
- Liaise with the Montreal head office to align Ottawa programs with organizational standards and goals.
- Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to onboard, train, schedule, and recognize a diverse base of volunteers.
- Build a warm, welcoming volunteer culture rooted in Mada's spirit of kindness.
- Act as the primary community liaison for Mada Ottawa, representing the organization at local events and with partner organizations.
- Build and maintain relationships with Chabad of Ottawa, synagogues, community organizations, and municipal bodies.
- Work with the Intake Coordinator to ensure services are properly provided to clients.
- Ensure all clients are treated with respect, regardless of background or circumstance.
- Manage branch communications (phone and email).
- Assist with local fundraising initiatives and donor stewardship.
- Support holiday program planning and execution (Rosh Hashanah, Passover, Purim, etc.)
Mon-Wed 10-2 Thurs 10-5. Hours are flexible. Additional hours may be needed for special events.
