ACAO Youth Programs Coordinator

Shape impactful youth initiatives as a Programs Coordinator with the African Canadian Association of Ottawa. This full-time role advocates for youth engagement and community leadership.

The African Canadian Association of Ottawa is looking for a Youth Programs Coordinator to manage vital programs until March 31, 2027. This position requires strategic planning, program implementation, and collaboration with various stakeholders to foster a safe and inclusive environment. Engage youth and families to promote participation and development in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute schedules and timelines for programs

• Build relationships with stakeholders and partners

• Supervise staff and volunteer teams during program activities

• Manage program budgets and funding compliance

• Create reports analyzing program success and participant feedback

Requirements:

• Education in social work, community development, or youth work

• Proven experience in program coordination

• Strong communication and facilitation skills

• Knowledge of youth development principles

• Flexibility for evening and weekend work as needed
