Dietary Aide

Position: Dietary Aide at Extendicare
Location: Carleton Place

Support residents' meal services at Extendicare as a Dietary Aide. This part-time role focuses on meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean dining environment.

Reporting to the Director of Culinary Services, you will assist in serving meals to residents and guests in a courteous manner. Key responsibilities include setting up dining areas, clearing tables, and cleaning dishware after service. You will also help with special events and training new dietary staff, all while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve meals to residents and guests professionally

• Assist in set-up and preparation for service

• Clear dining tables and deliver tray service

• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas

• Participate in special events and training new staff

Requirements:

• Food Handler's Certificate required

• Experience in food service preferred

• Enrolled in Food Service Worker Training Program

• Excellent customer service skills

• Ability to lift and transfer heavy items
