We are hiring full-time Pastry Cooks to join our team at the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall on Carleton University campus. Our Pastry Cooks are responsible for preparing a broad range of high-quality baked goods in an open kitchen environment.

- Assist with pastry preparation and baking duties under supervision of the Chef
- Ensure consistent quality, preparation, and presentation of food
- Assist with recipe-based baking and food preparation
- Provide excellent customer service
- Assist with controlling waste and spoilage
- Assist with culinary auditing, and food safety measures
- Assist with weekly inventory
- Maintain continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
- Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures
- May perform other job duties as required
- Culinary education, or equivalent working experience
- Experience in Culinary field with a focus in Pastry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Problem solving
- Planning and organizing skills
- Enjoy working with others in a team setting
The selected candidate for this position will need to complete and successfully pass a Criminal Background Check.

The hourly wage for this role is $21.91.
