SummaryReporting to the Sales Manager, the Account Manager represents all Doman product lines and is responsible for maintaining and developing existing accounts, promoting manufacturers’ programs, and sourcing new business opportunities in the Eastern Ontario Territory.
About the RoleAs a key member of our sales team, you will represent all Doman’s product lines, maintain and develop existing accounts, promote manufacturers’ programs, and source new business opportunities.
About YouYou have a passion for maintaining productive relationships with retailers and specifiers. You understand your customers’ needs and bring them industry knowledge. You are comfortable engaging in technical product conversations with customers.
You combine excellent presentation skills and prior outside sales experience to drive growth in your territory, partnering with manufacturers’ representatives to develop and implement strategic growth for each product line.
You are diligent in call planning to optimize time with customers. Superior communication skills, technical aptitude, and knowledge of the building material sector are your winning combination.

Skills You Need to Have- Strong experience building relationships with, and selling to, senior‑level managers, owners, contract sellers, and buying decision makers.
- Understanding of revenue‑generating and non‑revenue‑generating sales activities.
- Establish and develop relationships with architects, specifiers, developers/contractors, engineers, and building owners in the territory to promote Doman products and identify new business opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, problem‑solving, and deal‑structuring skills.
- Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude even in adverse situations.
- Bilingual in English and French.
- Building industry or trade experience.
- High level understanding of construction and building methods.
- Excellent communication skills at a capacity to influence sales, in person and over the phone, with customers at various levels.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds (23 kilos) occasionally to refresh and maintain product displays.
- High school diploma is a minimum requirement.
- Post‑secondary education in business or the building industry is preferred.
- Formal sales training is an asset.

- 80% of daily trips (by car) are within Eastern Ontario and parts of Quebec City, with occasional overnight stays.
- Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driving record is required. Maintaining a clean driving record is a condition of employment.
- Role may travel to the United States for training purposes; a valid passport is needed.
