Safcol is an iconic brand, launched over 50 years ago in Adelaide Australia under the Snappy Tom. It is now part of the Tropical Group of Companies. It was the first brand there to focus on fish as a main protein source for Australia's cats. Prior to that, cats were fed mainly beef, lamb, and chicken as protein sources as a company made up of pet owners, we believe that pets and people are better together.

What to Expect

As a Regional Sales Representative, you will be responsible and accountable for driving sales to Safcol-Snappy Tom products to and not limited to Pet Specialty, Independent Pet, Private Label, Grocery, Distributor and Government channels and deliver associated customer contribution to Safcol Canada

A day in the life

Externally, communicates with Pet Specialty, Independent Pet, Private Label, Grocery, Distributor and Government channels, and Co-Packers to build relationships and growing Safcol Canada revenue with-in the Pet Food Space daily.

Leverage Category Insights, Shopper Marketing, Pet Retailers to develop and implement channel category and consumer centric strategies.

Actively participate in the joint business planning process with the National Team

Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.

Responsible for working with Marketing to contribute to the Canadian Snappy Tom brand and legacy

Identify profitable opportunities to grow incremental volume through new item listings, SKU optimization and distribution.

Role Requirements

3+ years as a sales leader with a proven track record of delivering business results as an Account Manager or Key Account Manager, within the CPG industry or PET SPECILATY Industry.

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills

Experience in off shelf marketing and planograms.

Pet Specialty or CPG experience preferred

Effective communication, negotiation and strong teamwork are required to express analytics and deliver marketing presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with excellent time and project management while paying attention to detail.

Motivation as a self-starter with the ability to think “out of the box” to secure incremental business opportunities.

Must reside in the area (Ottaw-Western Quebec)

Must be entitled to work in Canada

Valid Canadian Drivers License
