Senior Account Manager Commercial Banking

Responsibilities

A Senior Account Manager in Commercial Banking is responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients assigned to them in the Gatineau/Ottawa market. Key duties include:

• Identify and develop business opportunities in the market, increasing the commercial client base.
• Establish business development strategies and create business development plans.
• Negotiate terms and conditions of agreements with clients while meeting risk‑management standards and profitability criteria.
• Help clients attain their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of bank products and services.
• Adapt and optimize financial products and advice to meet clients' changing needs.
• Assist the Regional Vice‑President in reaching objectives.
• Work collaboratively with other banking departments and specialists to provide the best solutions for clients.
• Actively participate in networking activities such as conferences and industry events.

Prerequisites based on academic background and experience:

• University certificate and at least 9 years of sales and business development experience in the financial industry; or
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of experience; or
• Master’s degree and at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience in sales, business development, analysis of financial statements, commercial credit.
• Network of professional contacts among local medium‑sized enterprises and large companies.
