Join RVCA as an Expert Geomorphologist to guide conservation and land-use initiatives in Ontario. Utilize your expertise in geomorphology and project management for lasting impacts.
The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority (RVCA) is looking for a full-time Geomorphologist with a solid background in landform analysis and erosion processes. You will be tasked with coordinating peer reviews under the Conservation Authorities Act and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Your role will also include developing regulations and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate peer reviews across multidisciplinary teams
• Provide expertise on applications related to the Planning Act
• Integrate geomorphology in land-use initiatives
• Mentor and guide junior technical staff
• Develop and implement conservation policies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Earth Sciences or related discipline;
Master’s preferred
• Professional Geoscientist (P. Geo) certification in Ontario
• At least 10 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of environmental legislation and practices
• Demonstrated ability in project management and stakeholder communication
Advance conservation and water management efforts through your geomorphological expertise at RVCA.
