Position: Assessor for Forestry Compliance Standards
Support the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) as an Assessor in the Forestry Scheme. Engage in critical assessments to uphold the standards of forestry certification bodies.

SCC is seeking bilingual assessors on a contractual basis in Ottawa. This role focuses on evaluating management systems and certification processes in the forestry sector. Your strong analytical skills and ability to provide sound recommendations will play a significant role in the accreditation process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with lead assessors to outline assessment criteria

• Analyze quality management systems and operational procedures

• Audit certification personnel to identify compliance levels

• Report on assessment findings and recommendations

• Gather evidence of conformity and non-conformity

Requirements:

• Minimum three years in forestry or certification roles

• Proficient in ISO/IEC standards 17021-1 and 17065

• Bilingual in French and English

• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills

• Flexibility to travel occasionally for assessments
