In this role, you will manage the Newborn Screening Ontario laboratory, ensuring the delivery of effective screening and diagnostic services. Your duties will include supporting staff development, maintaining health compliance, and enhancing interdepartmental communication. Your contribution will be crucial to improving children's health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in NSO strategy development and implementation
• Act as a liaison with external partners and laboratories
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards
• Monitor and manage laboratory budgets and expenses
• Compile and document quality metrics and statistics
Requirements:
• Registration with CMLTO or recognized equivalency
• Relevant academic qualification in science
• Proficiency in computer technology required
• Strong communication skills, written and oral
• Bilingualism preferred but not essential
Lead a dedicated laboratory team at CHEO, focusing on quality and safety in service delivery.
