Position: Chalk River Environmental Technologist Role
Location: Chalk River

Join Chalk River Laboratory in Ontario as an Environmental Technologist and engage in vital environmental analyses.

Your role will focus on both field and laboratory operations supporting groundwater research.

We need a dedicated Environmental Technologist with 2-3 years' experience in environmental projects. You will collect, analyze, and report on critical environmental samples, ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols. Your work will significantly impact hydrogeological studies and groundwater remediation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze solid and aqueous samples for contamination

• Perform radiological analyses for carbon-14 and tritium

• Conduct environmental sampling in field for data collection

• Document and manage laboratory records and QA/QC data

• Collaborate with scientists and train junior staff members

Requirements:

• Degree or diploma in Environmental Technology or related field

• Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in laboratory settings

• Comprehensive knowledge of environmental sampling techniques

• Strong communication skills and detail-oriented

• Valid Class G Driver’s License and eligibility for security clearance
