Stantec's Ecosystems Team is seeking two Junior Terrestrial Ecologists. As a vital part of our Ottawa and Thunder Bay offices, you will assist with natural heritage assessments, conduct fieldwork, and analyze ecological data. This role emphasizes teamwork and a commitment to supporting biodiversity and conservation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct background reviews for natural heritage assessments

• Participate in fieldwork assessing wildlife and aquatic habitats

• Analyze field data and prepare various reports

• Assist in preparing applications under environmental legislation

• Travel for fieldwork, including remote locations as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or related field

• Minimum 1 year of related experience

• Valid Class G driver's license

• Strong technical writing and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in both field and office settings
