Explore a challenging Intermediate Lab Analyst role at Paracel Laboratories in Ottawa. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced GC and GC-MS systems in an environmental testing lab.
As part of the Organics Department, you will play a key role in meeting quality and productivity standards. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting, investigating technical issues, and ensuring compliance with QA/QC protocols. Collaborating with the Laboratory Manager, you will also train junior staff and manage workload efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the lab team in attaining production deadlines
• Assist with training juniors in laboratory procedures
• Monitor departmental workload status and adjust as necessary
• Solve technical problems and maintain compliance
• Ensure adherence to company policies and safety guidelines
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field
• Minimum of 2 years in environmental testing
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 standards
• Expertise in GC-MS operation and troubleshooting
• Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented mindset
