Lead environmental risk assessments at WSP, applying toxicology and exposure assessment expertise to complex projects across Canada. Provide technical leadership for defensible decisions.
As a Senior Risk Assessment Specialist, you will support WSP’s Environmental Risk Assessment practice. You will lead human health and ecological assessments, interpret Canadian regulatory frameworks, and translate scientific evidence into practical risk management strategies. The work spans remediation, environmental approvals, impact assessments, and contaminated sites management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead human health and ecological risk assessments
- Direct exposure assessments and environmental health studies
- Provide technical direction in toxicology and risk characterization
- Develop strategies for remediation and contaminated sites
- Mentor emerging risk assessment professionals
- Degree in toxicology, environmental science, or related discipline
- Ten to fifteen years of environmental risk assessment experience
- Knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial frameworks
- Advanced toxicology and exposure modelling knowledge
- Professional membership eligibility and valid driver’s license
Bring senior leadership, scientific depth, and regulatory expertise to WSP’s national environmental risk assessment practice across Canada.
