This role focuses on supporting Lab Technicians by maintaining Microbiology Preparation Rooms. You will be responsible for sterilizing waste, preparing necessary materials, and assisting with cleanup after sessions. Your ability to multitask and communicate effectively will be crucial to ensuring a productive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load and unload autoclave and dishwasher efficiently
• Prepare media and reagents for laboratory exercises
• Ensure proper storage and organization of lab supplies
• Demonstrate safe equipment use to students
• Assist with ordering course lab supplies as needed
Requirements:
• BSc or College Diploma in Biology or related field
• Minimum of two years’ relevant experience required
• Previous teaching assistant experience preferred
• Demonstrated communication skills essential
• Familiarity with microbiology techniques required
