Modern Niagara is currently seeking a Warehouse Labourer to join our Ottawa location.
The warehouse labourer will be essential for warehouse operations, handling tasks such as receiving shipments, organising inventory, picking orders and maintaining cleanliness. They may also assist with inventory counts and operate machinery such as forklifts.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule
- Receive and process warehouse stock
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Perform inventory controls while maintaining quality standards
- Keep a clean and safe working environment
- Assist in general repairs around the warehouse and office as required
- Complete inbound and outbound documentation
- Flag delivery trucks into the warehouse loading area
- Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
- Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations
- Duties not limited to above
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience as a Warehouse Worker
- Knowledge of construction tools and equipment preferred
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Time management and organisational skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects 30+ pounds
- Basic computer skills considered an asset
- High school diploma or equivalent
