About the Opportunity

Our client seeks a reliable Building Operator for their greater Ottawa region team. This permanent full-time position handles operations, upkeep, and client services for various properties in a dynamic setting. The ideal candidate offers solid technical skills in property systems, emphasizes service quality, and works effectively with limited oversight.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Manage daily operations across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, safety, and security systems

Perform routine site inspections and resolve issues efficiently

Participate in on-call rotation and handle occasional after-hours emergencies

Supervise contractors and vendors for service coordination

Conduct preventative maintenance and small repairs

Support capital project planning and implementation

Track operational records and inventory for supplies

Ensure regulatory compliance through fire system tests and safety protocols

Assist with energy efficiency initiatives and tenant improvements

About You

The successful candidate will have the following:

Relevant hands-on experience in facilities or property management

Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and life safety systems

Excellent communication skills for client and vendor interactions

Valid G Class Driver's License

Must have or be eligible to obtain Reliability level security clearance

Must be a responsible, self-starter who thrives working independently with minimal supervision

Post-secondary education or trade certification in a related field (required)

Post-secondary education or trade certification in a related field is considered an asset

About the Job

The position is offering an annual salary of $65,000 - $75,000 dependent on experience, along with a competitive benefits package and perks.
