Senior Fire Alarm Technician

Full-time/Permanent | Salary: $28–$40 per hour
Working within a team of fire protection professionals, your work will help the company to adequately meet our clients’ expectations and guarantee them fully compliant fire alarm systems. You will mainly be responsible for the service and inspection of fire alarm systems according to standards and codes. Among other things, your responsibilities will be:
- Inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems;
- Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems following inspection;
- Preparation of inspection, and deficiencies reports in a timely manner;
- Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.
- Diploma in Fire Protection Technology/Technologist;
- CFAA certification;
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in service and inspection of fire alarm systems;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536 and S537;
- Knowledge of Notifier products (an asset);
- Valid driver’s license;
- Bilingual (an asset);
- Ability to work well independently;
- 5+ years’ experience in programming fire alarm panels (an asset).
