About The Role

Career Staffing Talent (CST) is partnering with a local fire alarm company to recruit an experienced Fire Alarm Programmer based in Ottawa to join our team immediately. This role is for a hands-on technician with strong Notifier or Mircom expertise who enjoys working on high-quality projects in a collaborative, safety-first environment.

You’ll play a key role in programming, commissioning, and supporting fire alarm systems across commercial and institutional projects—working closely with installers, project managers, and inspectors to ensure systems are delivered right the first time.

• Program, test, and commission Notifier or Mircom fire alarm systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform upgrades, and fine-tune configurations
• Coordinate with installation teams, project managers, and AHJs to meet project requirements and timelines
• Complete accurate documentation for programming, testing, and commissioning activities
• Provide technical support and occasional on-site assistance as needed

• Proven hands-on experience programming Notifier or Mircom fire alarm systems (required)
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm system architecture, commissioning, and code compliance
• CFQ or CFAA certification strongly preferred
• Detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and comfortable working to deadlines
• Based in or near Ottawa with availability to start immediately
