The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, Inspection and Service Division, the Senior Fire Alarm Technician serves as the subject matter expert responsible for inspecting, servicing, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, service calls, and advanced troubleshooting of fire alarm systems
  • Execute system upgrades, repairs, add-ons, and enhancements based on inspection findings
  • Prepare clear, accurate inspection and deficiency reports in compliance with applicable standards
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours emergency on-call schedule
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards
What Success Looks Like
  • Diploma in Fire Protection Technology or Fire Protection Technologist designation
  • Valid CFAA certification
  • 5 10 years of experience in fire alarm inspection and service
  • Strong working knowledge of CAN/ULC standards S524, S536, and S537
  • Experience with Notifier products (asset)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license
  • Bilingualism (asset)

  • Competitive hourly rate: $28 $ 40/hour
