Position: 421A Heavy Equipment Mechanic/ Apprentice
Tomlinson is seeking to fill an immediate requirement for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic based out of our Heavy Equipment Division. This position is full-time permanent position.

Replacement PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair various types and brands of heavy equipment.

Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to determine repairs and create detailed service reports.

Contribute to the ongoing reliability of all heavy equipment and ensure compliance with preventitve maintenance requirements.

Test repaired equipment to verify proper maintenance.

Preparation of accurate written repair order sheets and reports

Interpretation of service manuals, schematics, lube charts, repair orders, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Overtime as required

Work successfully and efficiently with minimal supervision

EXPERIENCE

At least 4 years’ experience

Licensed is preferred, or have completed minimum 1 year of apprenticeship

Experience with diesel engine equipment and some experience with gasoline engine experience, specifically Caterpillar & John Deer.

Safety training and experience is an asset

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $28.00 - $45.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependant on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
