About The Ottawa Hospital
The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is one of Canada's largest learning and research multi‑campus hospitals. With more than 1,400 beds and approximately 17,000 staff, physicians, residents and volunteers, we deliver specialized care to the Eastern Ontario, Western Quebec and Eastern Nunavut regions.
Position InformationThe hourly rate for this position includes $1.50 market premium.
Rotation/ShiftsDays, Monday to Friday, 8‑hour shifts (07:00-15:00, 08:00-16:00).

- Secondary School Diploma (Grade 12);
- Ontario Certification of Qualification in one of the following trades: carpentry, plastering, masonry;
- Five (5) years experience in the aforementioned trades, achieved within the last 10 years;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A well developed listening skill to interpret staff and public requirements;
- Knowledge of building and fire code requirements as related to construction projects;
- Knowledge of adhesives, power tools, hand tools related to construction projects;
- Knowledge of construction of walls, ceilings, etc;
- Knowledge of WHIMS;
- Knowledge of minor construction and maintenance including drywall, painting, door frames, doors, hardware, walls, repairs/replacement of suspended ceiling systems and flooring installations involving carpet and VCT;
- Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings;
- Eligible to work in Canada.
