Summer Student – Construction Helper

Immediately to August 28, 2026 (approximate)

Based in Renfrew, ON

8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

• Assist maintenance staff with a variety of duties including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting and general maintenance.

Applicants should be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn, able to follow both oral and written instructions and able to work well individually and with others.

Successful candidates must have a driver’s license and their own vehicle for transportation to and from their work location.

Only students returning to a program of study will be considered.

Safety boots will be required and are the responsibility of the successful candidates.

Students who are required to travel between their main location and other worksites may be eligible to claim mileage according to the Board’s Travel & Expense Reimbursement Procedure.

Funding for one or more of these positions may be provided by the Ontario Public Service through the Summer Experience Program.
