Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in Ottawa, ON. The Carpenter will be responsible for performing various building and construction tasks, including framing, installation, and finish carpentry. We’re looking for a Skilled Carpenter to join our growing construction team. This role is ideal for an experienced framing carpenter or finish carpenter with strong residential construction and renovation experience who can deliver accurate, safe, and efficient work on custom projects across Ottawa.
Additional responsibilities include the proper use and maintenance of hand tools and power tools, and ensuring that all work complies with safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and within specifications.
- Perform all aspects of wood framing: walls, floors, roofs, and structural components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans
- Cut, shape, and assemble lumber and materials using hand tools, power tools, and framing equipment
- Ensure work meets Ontario Building Code, safety standards, and MGB quality requirements
- Assist with layout, squaring, shoring, and bracing on site
- Collaborate with other trades and site supervisors to meet project timelines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
- Report material shortages, design concerns, and safety issues promptly
- 3-5 years of experience as a Carpenter / Framer / Finish Carpenter in residential or commercial construction
- Experience framing homes and working on full gut interior renovations and additions
- Strong knowledge of building codes, structural framing, and renovation techniques
- Proficiency with carpentry tools (saws, nail guns, levels, squares, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Physically fit and able to work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required)
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)

- Monday to Friday (occasional weekends as needed)
- Carpentry / Framing: 3-5 years (required)
- General Construction: 3 years (required)
