Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
Location: 9094 Cavanagh Road (Ashton, Ontario)

Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic repairs and maintains heavy duty equipment; responsible for diagnosis, repairs, assembles and disassembles on large pieces of equipment. Offering day or afternoon shift options; standard Monday – Friday schedule available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect heavy construction and off-road equipment to identify performance issues, wear, and mechanical failures
- Diagnose faults using computerized diagnostics and other testing equipment
- Disassemble, assemble, adjust, and repair major components and systems on heavy equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools
- Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and preventative service work
Requirements:
- Red Seal 421A certification or equivalent heavy equipment mechanic experience
- 5+ years of certified experience working on heavy-duty or off-road equipment
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills
- Ability to complete major mechanical repairs, including component assembly and disassembly
- Own tools required to perform the job
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check

Wage Range:
The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $45.00 and $48.00 per hour. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
