Position: Skilled Trades Employer Liaison
Become an integral part of the YMCA by assisting immigrants in finding trades careers as an Employer Liaison in Ottawa. This dynamic full-time role is focused on community and participant engagement.

We are searching for an Employer Liaison for the Pre-Apprenticeship Home Renovation Program at the YMCA of the National Capital Region. This position involves facilitating workshops, recruiting program participants, and connecting them with employers in the construction sector. Your organizational and communication skills will be vital in promoting our trades programs and supporting participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide employment services aimed at skilled trades careers

• Ensure effective program facilitation and support

• Promote YMCA’s Trades Technical Training Programs

• Recruit candidates and assist with skill showcasing

• Connect participants with relevant employment opportunities

Requirements:

• Relevant post-secondary education or certification

• Advanced English fluency and other languages preferred

• Previous experience in employment counselling

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and virtual communication tools

• Valid work permit and recent Police Record check
