This full-time Vehicle Mechanic position involves performing systematic inspections and overhauls of component parts, determining causes of failure, and recommending repair actions. You'll certify vehicles as roadworthy, verifying contractor work and ensuring compliance with specifications set by Canada Post and local legislation. The role supports operational efficiency through comprehensive vehicle maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform inspections and overhauls on light and heavy vehicles
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and repairs
• Certify vehicle safety and reliability post-repair
• Manage parts ordering and inventory
• Complete documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent
• Technical apprenticeship in Automotive Service or Truck and Coach
• Valid maintenance certification for relevant vehicles
• Familiarity with vehicle safety protocols
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
