Homepro Pest Control is expanding and is currently seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our Ottawa team as a full-time Pest Control Technician. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working directly with customers, and developing technical skills in a regulated service industry.
We provide paid training, structured mentorship, and full organizational support to assist successful candidates in obtaining and maintaining the appropriate Ontario exterminator licensing.
Position SummaryThe Pest Control Technician is responsible for inspecting client properties, identifying pest activity, delivering pest management services in accordance with regulatory requirements, and providing professional guidance to customers.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect residential and commercial properties to identify pest activity and contributing conditions
- Deliver pest control services using Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles
- Prepare, handle, and apply pest control products in accordance with product labels, Ministry of the Environment regulations, and company safety procedures
- Educate clients on treatment plans, preventative measures, and follow-up recommendations
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Previous customer-facing experience preferred
- Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail
- Valid Ontario G-class driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the role
