Field Heavy Equipment Technician

Caron Equipment Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Heavy Equipment Technician for the Iam Gold Project in Ottawa, ON. Enjoy a dual role in the shop and on-site, ensuring equipment reliability.
In this role, you'll leverage your Heavy Equipment Technician certification while working at the Cote Mine site and in Timmins. You must diagnose, maintain, and repair various heavy equipment efficiently. Collaborating with supervisors, planners, and operators, you'll help minimize downtime and ensure safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics and maintenance on heavy equipment

• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Complete inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks

• Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize repair work

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance history
Requirements:

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician certification required

• Minimum 3 years experience in field and shop settings

• Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools and repair methods

• Familiarity with equipment brands like Caterpillar and Volvo

• Valid Class G driver’s license or higher preferred
